Partners Eric Rimmele and Antonio Ruiz combined, have over 6 decades of hotel, food and beverage, and catering experience. Savor has been built on Eric and Tony’s own personal ethics. They emphasize a family atmosphere in the workplace and surround themselves with the best staff in the hospitality industry. Together, their time is spent on continually improving the business, and they always find the time to give back to the community.
Antonio has studied at the Culinary Institute of America and is a graduate of Universidad Autonoma de Nayarit in Mexico. Chef Tony has volunteered his time to teaching culinary art to the staff at “The Ronald McDonald House” at Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego and now dedicates time to rebuilding run-down neighborhoods and communities in his hometown in Mexico through his charity “Amigos Unidos Por Una Mejor Communidad”.
Eric’s passion for food and service developed at an early age having grown up in a family with 4 generations in the food industry. Over the years, Eric has contributed to a variety of fundraiser's and charities as well as dedicating time to the local Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, South County Economic Development Council, and the California Restaurant Association.
Eric is also the host of a weekly podcast recorded live from his studio located at Savor Catering. INSIDE THE FOOD BIZ is a weekly interview-based show spotlighting influential professionals in the food and beverage industry.
